Why I love summer!

Summer in Florida is unlike anywhere else. We’re spoiled with early morning sunrises, vibrant skies, and golden light that lingers well into the evening. Sure, the midday heat can be intense, but I like to see it as an opportunity to get creative.


Midday shoots are ideal for indoor settings—think cozy studios, vibrant aquariums, local cafés, or even movie theaters—places that usually get overlooked when the weather is nice. And if you're feeling bold? Midday is also perfect for water-based sessions: beach dips, pool splashes, and even playful rain shoots. Water keeps everyone cool and adds a dynamic, energetic vibe to your photos. Imagine the joy on your child’s face jumping into a pool, or the romantic feel of a couple laughing under a summer downpour—those are the magic moments I live to capture.

Here are a few quick tips to make your summer session as smooth (and safe) as possible:


  1. Bring a large container of water. I take my time during shoots and always plan for water breaks. Staying hydrated is key, especially in triple-digit heat.
  2. Eat something beforehand. Even a light snack helps your body stay steady in the heat and keeps you energized during the session.
  3. Dress light and comfortable. Breathable fabrics and summery tones photograph beautifully and help keep you cool.
  4. Don’t stress the sweat. It’s summer! Glowy skin and windswept hair are part of the charm.

Get ready for something totally unique—rain-themed mini sessions! Whether it’s your whole crew or just you and your love, these sessions are designed to be whimsical, fun, and beautifully candid. Think playful puddle jumps, umbrellas, and cinematic vibes. Booking for these opens on July 27th.
